Pick Up Your Weapons and Fight!

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (King James Version)

3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

3-6The world is unprincipled. It's dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn't fight fair. But we don't live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren't for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity.

Word in Action:

Fight the good fight of faith using the scriptures. The Bible says that it rains on the just and the unjust. “Bad” things will sometimes happen to “good” people. “Unholy” thoughts will sometimes cross the minds of “righteous” people. “Negative” emotions will sometimes rise up in “positive” people. But don’t accept those conditions. Pick up your weapons and fight.
So often, we submit ourselves to our circumstances instead of submitting our circumstances to our God. We make excuses for this tendency by saying things like, “oh, it’s no big deal” or “I can’t help it” or “that’s just how it’s supposed to be.” We must remember that we can change the atmosphere of any situation or event by using the power of our thoughts and our words. Speak what God says ESPECIALLY during the times when Satan is so busy trying to plant seeds of gloom, doom and destruction in our lives and/or the lives of those around us. Every believer has an arsenal of weapons to destroy every stronghold or barrier in existence. It’s all in the Word of God. Again I say, PICK UP YOUR WEAPONS AND FIGHT!!!
