Trust the Lord's Provision

Galatians 6:7-10 (King James Version):

7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Galatians 6:7-10 (The Message Version):

7 -8Don't be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—harvests a crop of weeds. All he'll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God's Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life. 9 -10So let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don't give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.

Word in Action:

Don't consider taking shortcuts. And if you already have, STOP!So often we may feel like everyone around us prospers by doing things that do not please God – cheating, lying, stealing, participating in illegal activities, etc. Though we may feel like "nice guys finish last" we must remember that God's Word is true. We get what we need from God at the time that we need it. The great part about it is that when Our Heavenly Father gives "it" to us, "it" will be lasting and will produce fruit. We must understand that God's timing is perfect and He will reward us for our faithfulness. Don't get discouraged by what you see (i.e. people obtaining wealth and power through unjust activities) or what you don't see (i.e. wealth and power manifested in the lives of people who are fair in their dealings). Rest assured that God is not mocked. Your harvest will manifest soon but you have to continue to be faithful – especially when it's hard. The Lord will give you the "hook-up" you need, exactly when you need it. Trust the provision of the Lord Jesus Christ.
